Our story

Sailing Federation Curaçao (CurSailing) is the national governing body for the sport of sailing on the island.

Since 2011, we've represented Curaçao's sailors, surfers and other water sport  fans. From kids learning to tack on Optimists to athletes chasing Olympic qualification.

Both on the water and in the boardroom.

Few places on earth sail better than Curaçao. Year-round trade winds. Warm, clear Caribbean water. Protected bays like Spanish Water that double as world-class racing venues. We harness that advantage every day.

Our work runs along three lines:

  1. developing the next generation through certified training and regattas;

  2. sanctioning national championships and international events that put Curaçao on the global racing calendar;

  3. selecting and supporting the athletes who represent our island at the Pan American Games, Olympic qualifiers, and World Sailing championships.

CurSailing is the official national authority for sailing, affiliated with:

  • FDOK: Federashon Deporte i Olímpiko Kòrsou is the national body dedicated to advancing sport and the Olympic movement in Curaçao.

  • AHOsailing, which is a member of World Sailing

  • Central American & Caribbean Sailing Confederation

We work hand-in-hand with our member clubs to grow the sport on the island. Competitively, recreationally, and everything in between.

The wind is here. We make sure Curaçao sails with it.
